Before reading this post, those who have a browser Not fox, you may not read further, t.To. this is a guide to eliminating lags in it.
So, it all started with the fact that I have firefox after installing many different plugins. For the first time adblock helped me more or less, well, I think many of you use it too. But today, when I was talking with friends on Skype and at the same time surfing the Internet, our conference leader dropped out and I had difficulty picking up the phone to call back.To. my firefox was eating 98% of my CPU. Of course, I would have completed the task via ctrl+alt+delete, but I didn’t want to lose all my bookmarks, plus two videos were almost loaded. So that’s what I mean? And besides, I got fed up with this and went to Google, fortunately I’m not the only one with such a problem and I quickly found the instructions. Of course, I could use chrome, but fox is more dear, and there are tons of bookmarks in it. I suggest you, those who use fox and for whom it also heavily loads the processor, use this instruction, it helped me.
*For those who are afraid of losing all their bookmarks, you can go straight to the emoticon ":3" it helped me and so*
Firstly, I completely demolished everything related to Firefox through Synaptic, after which I downloaded the latest version of “fox” from the official website of the developers. The distribution on the site is presented in a static assembly, which means that it is already included in itself, and the browser starts immediately after unpacking the archive. If anyone doesn’t understand, then you don’t need to run any ./configure, everything is ready to go. So, the browser itself is already installed after unpacking it into any directory from where it will then be launched. I recommend creating a Firefox folder on a partition with ReiserFS, because this file system provides better speed for working with small files. After this, you can update Firelis through the “Help” menu -> “Check for updates”.
Secondly, we make a link to the program to launch from the console:
sudo ln -s ~/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/
Thirdly, I transferred the Firelis settings https://nodepositbonuscasinos.co.uk/100-free-spins-no-deposit/ without changes from the Windows profile by simply copying the profile folder from the Windows C:\Documents and Settings\~\Application Data\Mozilla\ to ~/.mozilla/, which, as it turned out, is not particularly recommended to do (but is not prohibited either), they say the architectures are different and something else, in general, I did not go into details, but simply created a new profile… Do not rush to delete it, because you can transfer cookies, passwords, etc. from there.n.
Next, install Flash. Again, let’s not get into the weeds, but just go to the Adobe website and download the tar archive.gz. From the archive we need the libflashplayer file.so. You just need to drop it into the folder in which we unpacked the “fox”, into the plugins folder. After this, my flash drives loaded immediately after launching the browser.
:3 Fox is ready to work, now let’s get rid of the brakes, by the way, for me personally, after such an alternative repository installation of Firefox, the browser worked without brakes, however, according to information from the forums, the brakes could start even after some time of work… The very first step, which saved many, again according to posts on the forums, was to open the firefox file in any text editor in the folder with the installed program and somewhere closer to the beginning (just not in the very first line – do not change it!) add:
Pango serves for “more different” font rendering. I personally don’t know what this more different rendering is, but on some configurations it’s faster, on others it’s slower. Personally, I disabled pango for prevention purposes. 🙂
Then we come across this article, which promises us a performance increase of Mozilla Firefox by as much as thirty(!) times… I don’t know whether to believe this figure, however, using these parameters will definitely not make us worse, so we are doing the following..
Open an empty tab and type about:config into the address bar, which will open the settings page. In the search we specify network.http.pipelining and set its value to true. Then set the following parameters:
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 8
network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
network.dns.disableIPv6 = true
plugin.expose_full_path = true
layout.spellcheckDefault = 2
Right-click and select New -> Boolean. Create a config parameter.trim_on_minimize and set its value to true.
You still need to create new parameters. Select Create -> Numeric (New -> Integer):
nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0
content.notify.backoffcount = 5
ui.submenuDelay = 0

P.s. people, this is just copy-paste, but if it helps anyone, I will be very happy :3
